Standby has several products that can impact the performance of piping distribution systems that distribute natural gas to end-users.

Our propane-air peak shaving plants are used to reduce demand on transportation pipelines that feed distribution systems, thereby allowing increased growth without expensive increase in pipeline capacity. When used as a baseload supply, they allow natural gas development prior to natural gas arriving at a location.

Standby's gas enrichment and stabilization systems effectively expand pipeline thermal flow capacity on marginally sized legs of pipe, thereby foregoing or forestalling expensive pipe replacement.

Standby's end-user propane-air plants, together with interruptible gas sales contracts, provide significant cost savings and security of supply for the end-users, while giving gas utilities an effective, gas dedicated, load management tool.
