Propane (LPG) Systems
Standby has served the natural gas industry for over 35 years providing design, construction and support of LPG-air (Substitute Natural Gas) facilities used by natural gas utilities and industrial / commercial gas consumers of every size. Beyond substantial savings on natural gas purchases, owners enjoy the security only an on-site fuel supply delivers.
While propane-air peak shaving and standby systems are most common, systems are also designed to utilize LPG feedstocks with high butane content. By mixing LPG with air, a fuel gas is created matching burning characteristics of available natural gas; thus an LPG-air mix can substitute for some or all flowing gas energy supply. Undiluted LPG is of course also widely used around the world and LPG-air systems are sometimes deployed as base-load systems prior to connection of natural gas in a developing area. Standby provides a full range of LPG and natural gas products and technical services across the gas-energy spectrum.
